Set per-download speed limits and leave room for other apps.
Limit a new download
Set a speed limit in KB/s when adding a download. A value of 0 means unlimited. The supported setting range is 0–1,048,576 KB/s. A limit is a ceiling, not a promised speed.
Change the default
Use Settings → Downloads to choose the default for new downloads. Existing jobs retain their own options. Video behavior also depends on the underlying transfer stage.
Remember that limits are per download
If three downloads each have a 1,000 KB/s limit, their combined transfer can be roughly 3,000 KB/s, subject to network and server conditions. Reduce the maximum simultaneous downloads if you need more headroom.
When downloads are slower than the limit
A speed cap cannot make the server send data faster. Check network usage, connection quality, server restrictions, and parallel-connection settings. See troubleshooting.
