What FID remembers
FID keeps your download list, URLs, output locations, progress and preferences locally to restore your workspace. Partial file data is kept so eligible downloads can continue.
Browser data is optional
The extension can use relevant cookies for a selected download when browser-session support is enabled. Saved session information is protected with Windows data protection. This is separate from the website’s download statistics.
Clean up thoughtfully
Clear finished removes history while preserving completed files. Remove deletes saved HTTP partial chunks for an unfinished item. Check your destination for video-tool partial files if you no longer need them. Do not delete partial data that you plan to resume.
Share less in support requests
Download URLs may contain private access tokens even when they look ordinary. Send error text and reproduction steps first. Avoid sharing browser cookies, queue files or screenshots containing private material.
Website statistics
The website can count download-link clicks in daily country and mirror totals. Read the website privacy page for details. These counts do not report what you download inside the FID app.
