Files, folders and finished downloads
Choose where files belong and understand what cleanup removes.
Choose a save location
Set the default folder in Settings → Files. Override it for an individual download in the save-information dialog. Make sure the folder is writable and the drive has enough free space.
Group files and videos
The file settings can group output into Files and Videos folders. Review the actual destination shown before starting a download.
Handle duplicate names
Choose whether duplicate names receive a numbered filename or report an error. FID is designed to avoid overwriting an existing completed file. Video downloads may add the media ID and final extension automatically.
Find or open the result
Select a completed entry and use Show in folder, Open, or the completion dialog’s Open with. The completion dialog appears when the progress window is open and completion notifications are enabled. Its checkbox lets you disable it for future downloads.
Remove an entry versus delete a file
Clear finished removes finished history entries and keeps their files. Remove also keeps completed outputs but removes saved HTTP partial chunks for an unfinished entry. Video tools may leave their own partial files; inspect the destination before removing those manually.
Keep partial downloads in place
Moving partial files or changing their contents can prevent resume. Pause first and keep the original destination available until the transfer finishes.
