Download later and start delays
Prepare a download now and choose when it becomes eligible to start.
Save a download for later
Choose Download later in the file-information dialog to keep the entry paused. Resume it when you are ready. Pending confirmations remain in the list without reopening automatically at startup.
Set a delay in minutes
The Add URL dialog can delay a new job by a number of minutes, up to 525,600. Once the delay has passed, the download becomes eligible for the running queue. It still needs a free download slot and any required confirmation.
Keep FID running
This is an in-app delay, not a Windows task or a calendar scheduler. FID must remain running and Windows must be awake with a working connection. Closing the main window keeps the app in the notification area; choosing Exit stops it.
If the start time passes
Check that the queue is enabled, the job is confirmed, and a simultaneous slot is available. A download restored after exiting may need you to resume it. Temporary source links can expire while waiting.
